Youth Church meets on the third Sunday of each month and is for young people in school years 7–13. It starts at 10.30 a.m., alongside our main Sunday meeting, in a separate hall at The Cornerstone Centre.
Led by Barney and a team of volunteers, Youth Church gives young people their own space to worship, explore faith and discover how the Bible speaks into everyday life.
We usually start with a fun, theme-related icebreaker before moving into youth-led worship and an engaging Bible-based message. There’s also time for brioche and juice during Food for Thought, when we can chat together and explore what we’ve heard.
Sessions are varied and interactive and may also include a Media Slot, where we look at something from current culture — perhaps a news story, music video or social media content — and use it to start conversations about faith and some of the issues young people encounter in their everyday lives.
Youth Church is a relaxed and welcoming place where young people can ask questions, grow in their faith and encourage one another.
