Debt is one of the major challenges facing people across the world today, and South East Kent is no exception. Many individuals and families are finding the burden overwhelming, with some feeling they have nowhere to turn. Shame and isolation often prevent people from seeking help when they need it most.  

CAP is a highly reputable and nationally recognised charity that provides practical, professional support to people struggling with debt. SKCC operates a CAP centre for the Shepway area. Under the leadership of Centre Manager Angela Burnett and a dedicated team of trained volunteers, the centre has supported many clients since opening in early 2007. Through CAP's structured debt-management process and ongoing support, clients have experienced significant positive change in their financial circumstances and overall wellbeing.   

Clients are visited in their homes, where the team offers reassurance, guidance, and a clear pathway toward becoming debt free. Many of those supported have expressed how invaluable it has been to have someone walk with them through a difficult season - helping them regain control, rebuild confidence, and move forward with hope.
