Pure Dance

Pure Dance is an SKCC community project offering fun, affordable and positive dance sessions for KS2 children. The group meets every Tuesday afternoon during term time in the back hall at The Cornerstone Centre and is led by Barney, Lisa and Kay.

Pure Dance was created from a desire to provide a safe and encouraging environment where children can enjoy dance, express themselves creatively and grow in confidence. Christian themes and values are woven into the sessions, with an emphasis on helping every child recognise their individual worth and potential.

Through dance and creative expression, the team encourages positive self-image, confidence and healthy friendships. One of the greatest joys of Pure Dance is seeing children become more confident, discover their creativity and flourish as they learn and grow together.

At the end of each term, families are invited to come and see what the children have been working on. These occasions are a great opportunity to celebrate the children’s achievements and build relationships with their families.

At the heart of Pure Dance is the message that every child is “fearfully and wonderfully made” — encouraging them to recognise that they are uniquely created by God and deeply valued.
