Urban Saints today
Over the last 100 years
Crusaders has been reaching out to young people, sharing the
good news of the gospel with them, and challenging them.
This has been achieved through supporting; hundreds
of youth groups running across the country, exciting
residential experiences, events and international
opportunities for young people to serve in. In 2004
Crusaders as we were, believed God was calling the
organisation to change. Since then we have undergone huge
changes and re-branded to Urban Saints in 2007, a name more
relevant to the culture of today's youth. However our
challenge today remains clear – to bring the unchangeable
truth of God into a changing world.
Young
people today need hope.
They need something to believe in.
They need something that they can belong to .
They need to feel they are able to make a difference
in their world today.
Urban Saints supports those who seek to engage young people
where they are and help them to reach their full potential
in God.
There has never been a more
important time for Urban Saints to be used by God in
impacting the youth of this generation.
The Basis of Faith in Urban
Saints is a belief in;
• God as
creator of all and the Father of all who believe in the Lord
Jesus Christ.
• The Lord
Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, Redeemer of
the world, and the One Mediator, through faith in whom alone
we obtain forgiveness of sins.
• God the
Holy Spirit
• The fact
of sin, and the necessity for the atonement.
• The
incarnation, death, resurrection, ascension and coming again
of the Lord Jesus Christ.
• The
whole Bible as the inspired word of God.
