"For I was hungry & you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty & you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger & you invited me in”
(Matt 25:35-36).
The Drop In is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2.30 – 4.30 p.m. and we serve between 15-40 men and women (mostly men) per session. We have a fantastic team of volunteers who serve the poor, needy, socially excluded and homeless in our community, and they serve with love, kindness and compassion.
We serve soup, hotdogs, hot and cold drinks, cakes and biscuits and clients are given a pack of sandwiches when they leave. We also supply a tin of food, toiletries, socks and clothes where there is a need if we are able to.
Since this ministry moved to Millfield in spring 2008, there is now at present, an increased need for something to eat, companionship with other people and clothes, for people that find themselves in various difficult times in their lives.
If you would like to make a contribution to the Drop In, we will always lovingly and gratefully accept:-
- Sandwich fillings
- Meals in tins
- Packets of soup
- Tins of hotdogs
- Packets of cakes and biscuits
- Socks, clothes and shoes
- Toiletries
